Job summary

STARLINK FINANCIAL TECHNOLOGIES PTE. LTD. in Singapore is seeking a hands-on Solutions Architect (Payments) to design scalable, secure payment solutions and own end-to-end architecture across product, engineering and commercial teams.

You will translate customer needs into technical specs, drive roadmaps, ensure PCI-DSS/PSD2 and AML/KYC compliance, and partner with Legal, Finance and Sales to position products for regional markets; strong data, communication and leadership skills are essential.

Qualifications

• 5-8 years of experience in Product Management, Solutions Architecture, or payments.
• Domain expertise in the payments ecosystem (card networks, acquirers, processors, APMs, and banking rails).
• Proficiency with data tools (SQL, Excel, BI) to drive architectural decisions.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to explain complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Define and drive the product vision, roadmap and solution architecture for payment products.
• Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify trends and opportunities.
• Translate customer needs into detailed technical specifications, including user stories, epics and PRDs.
• Lead cross-functional collaboration with Engineering to ensure high-quality, timely delivery.
• Ensure compliance with global standards (PCI-DSS, PSD2, AML/KYC) in partnership with Legal, Finance and Risk.
• Support Marketing and Sales with technical product positioning and go-to-market strategies.
• Engage stakeholders and communicate roadmap progress and technical challenges to leadership and external partners.

Job description

We are looking for a highly hands-on and independent Solutions Architect (Payments) with strong product acumen to design and deliver scalable, secure, and innovative payment solutions. This role bridges business needs and technical execution, owning end-to-end solution architecture while collaborating across product, engineering, and commercial teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Define and drive the product vision, roadmap and solution architecture for payment products.
• Conduct rigorous market research and competitive analysis to identify emerging trends and opportunities.
• Roadmap Execution: Translate high-level customer needs into detailed technical specifications, including user stories, epics, and Product Requirement Documents (PRDs).
• Cross-Functional Leadership: * Partner with Engineering to ensure high-quality, timely delivery.
• Collaborate with Legal, Finance, and Risk to ensure compliance with global standards (PCI-DSS, PSD2, AML/KYC).
• Support Marketing and Sales with technical product positioning and go-to-market strategies.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Act as a subject matter expert at industry events. Communicate roadmap progress and technical challenges effectively to executive leadership and external partners.

Requirements

• 5-8 years of experience in Product Management, Solutions Architecture, or payment Solutions. Prefer within Fintech, Payments, or Financial Services.
• Domain Expertise: Deep understanding of the payment's ecosystem, including card networks (Visa/Mastercard), acquirers, processors, APMs, and banking rails (ACH, SEPA, SWIFT).
• Technical Proficiency: Strong analytical skills with hands-on experience in data tools (SQL, Excel, BI platforms) to drive architectural decisions.
• Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Business, or a related field.
