Job summary

SolarGy Pte Ltd. is hiring a junior electrical/renewable energy engineer to support site surveys, design and tender work in Singapore.

You will perform PV shading analyses, prepare SLDs and layouts using AutoCAD, and coordinate with vendors and clients to ensure compliant installations.

Qualifications

• Minimum degree in Electrical Engineering or Renewable Energy.
• Proficient in AutoCAD; knowledge of PVSyst and SketchUp preferred.
• Strong ability to interpret engineering drawings and apply requirements to designs.
• 1–2 years experience preferred but not required.
• Knowledge of electrical design and solar engineering.
• Energetic, goal‑oriented team player with good communication.

Responsibilities

• Conduct site survey and prepare drawings per project requirements that comply with SCDF regulations.
• Perform technical assessments such as shading analysis, PVsyst simulations, and consumption analyses.
• Prepare economics analyses, proposals, and tender documents for submission.
• Liaise with vendors for price lists and procurement information.
• Familiarize with authority requirements and IEC standards for renewable system installation.
• Coordinate with client site personnel and safety coordinators.
• Gather feedback on design and costing from other teams for continuous improvement.
• Produce design drawings like SLD, panel and string layout using AutoCAD.
• Ad hoc tasks as assigned.

Job description

Job Responsibilities:

• Conduct site survey and prepare the drawing as per project requirements that complies to the SCDF regulations
• Perform technical assessment such as Shading analysis PVSyst simulation, consumption analysis and etc
• Prepare economics analysis, proposal and tender documents for submission
• Liaise with vendors/suppliers for price lists and up-to-date product and service information with the procurement team
• Familiarize yourself with Authority requirement and IEC standard or equivalent for renewable system installation)
• Coordinate closely with client site personnels and safety coordinators
• Liaise with other teams to gather feedback on design and costing for continuous improvement
• Produce design drawings like SLD, Panel and String Layout using AutoCAD software
• Ad hoc task assigned by the reporting officer
  

Job Requirements:

• Minimum Degree in Electrical Engineering/Renewable energy-related field is preferred
• Well versed with Autocad is a must. Familiar with PVSyst and Sketchup is a preferred
• Proficient in engineering drawing interpretation and adept at applying requirements to design effectivel
• At least 1-2 years prior experience preferred but not required
• Knowledge in electrical design and solar engineering
• Driven, high energy individual who strives for success

• Interest in renewable energy and sustainability is a plus
