Job summary

re-zoo-me in Singapore is seeking an experienced Software Tester to design, develop and maintain automated tests for web applications in an Agile/Scrum environment.

You will work with Cypress/Watermelon, perform API and database validation, collaborate with developers and QA, and drive continuous improvement in automation frameworks.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software testing experience; Watermelon/Cypress preferred.
• Strong JavaScript and/or Python skills.
• Knowledge of HTML/CSS.
• Experience with Git and Jenkins; API and batch testing.
• Familiarity with Windows Server in testing environments.
• Agile/Scrum experience.
• Excellent problem-solving and attention to detail.
• Effective communication and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain automated scripts using Watermelon/Cypress.
• Design and execute functional, regression, integration and automated tests; identify defects and analyse results.
• Collaborate with developers, QA and cross-functional teams on testing requirements and strategies.
• Improve automation frameworks, test coverage, efficiency and reliability.
• Perform API testing using Postman/Swagger.
• Test batch jobs, including scheduling, dependencies, error handling and output verification.
• Perform Oracle database validation using SQL for data integrity, transformation and expected outcomes.
• Support cutover, migration and rollback, including smoke testing, go/no-go validation and post-deployment testing.
• Perform relevant Windows Server operations, including service monitoring, log review and environment configuration.
• Participate in code reviews and promote testing/automation best practices.
• Stay updated with automation technologies and contribute to continuous improvement.

Requirements & Skills

• 5+ years of software testing experience, preferably with Watermelon/Cypress.
• Strong JavaScript and/or Python skills.
• Knowledge of HTML/CSS.
• Strong understanding of software testing principles, methodologies and best practices.
• Experience with Git and CI/CD tools such as Jenkins.Hands-on API testing, batch-job testing and Oracle/SQL validation.Familiarity with Windows Server operations in testing environments.
• Experience with cutover/rollback strategies, migration testing, smoke testing and go/no-go validation.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical and attention-to-detail skills.
• Effective communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Self-motivated with a commitment to continuous learning and improvement.
• Agile/Scrum experience.

Preferred

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering or related field.
• Financial services or regulated-environment testing experience is an advantage
