Job summary

AMD is seeking an experienced SAP Logistics Manager to oversee the SAP Logistics and GTS landscape and ensure smooth day-to-day operations.

You will drive service quality, manage external support contracts, and partner with business teams on system enhancements, with a focus on SAP SD, MM, inventory, and transportation processes. Location: Singapore.

Qualifications

• Extensive SAP functional experience with SAP S/4HANA and SAP Logistics.
• Experience in production support, vendor management, and translating business requirements into functional specs.
• Experience working with ABAP developers and external integrations (3PLs).

Responsibilities

• SAP Logistics Functional Support across SAP Logistics and GTS.
• Lead SAP Logistics processes including SD, Inventory, Warehouse, Inbound/Outbound, Shipping/Transportation.
• Manage external support contracts and monitor vendor performance against SLAs.
• Collaborate with business users to prioritize issues and drive improvements.
• Prepare detailed Functional Specifications for enhancements.

The Role

We are looking for an experienced SAP Logistics Manager with of hands-on SAP experience to manage and support our Logistics application landscape.

The role will be responsible for ensuring effective resolution of day-to-day operational issues, driving service quality and SLA performance, overseeing external support contracts, and partnering with business teams on system enhancements.

The Person

The successful candidate should combine strong SAP functional expertise, production support experience, vendor management skills, and the ability to translate business requirements into high-quality functional specifications.

Key Responsibilities

• SAP Logistics Functional Support
• Provide functional leadership and support across the SAP Logistics and GTS landscape.
• Support SAP Logistics processes including areas such as:
• Sales & Distribution (SD)
• Inventory and Warehouse processes
• Inbound and Outbound Logistics
• Shipping and Transportation
• Integration with 3PLs and logistics partners
• Act as the escalation point for complex functional and cross-system production issues.
• Perform or coordinate root-cause analysis for recurring incidents and drive permanent corrective actions.
• Application Support & Incident Management
• Oversee daily production support activities and ensure incidents and service requests are resolved within agreed SLAs.
• Work closely with business users to understand operational issues, determine business impact, and prioritize resolution.
• Review recurring incidents and identify opportunities for automation, process improvement, or system enhancements.
• Vendor & Contract Management
• Manage application support/service contracts supporting SAP Logistics, GTS, and related applications.
• Act as the primary IT point of contact for external support vendors.
• Monitor vendor performances against agreed SLAs and KPIs
• Business Requirements & Functional Specifications
• Partner with Logistics, Supply Chain, Trade Compliance and other business teams to understand new requirements.
• Prepare and/or review detailed Functional Specification (FS) documents for SAP enhancements.
• Work closely with ABAP developers, integration teams and other technical resources during solution development.
• Review technical solutions to ensure alignment with the functional requirements.

Preferred Experience

• Good years of SAP functional experience with SAP S/4HANA, with significant experience in SAP Logistics.
• Strong functional knowledge of SAP Logistics processes, preferably across SD, MM, inventory, shipping, warehouse and transportation-related processes.
• Knowledge of SAP GTS and international trade/compliance processes will be an added advantage.
• Knowledge of SAP EWM and/or SAP TM.
• Experience supporting SAP in a production/application support environment.
• Demonstrated ability to gather business requirements and prepare detailed Functional Specifications.
• Experience working with ABAP developers and technical/integration teams.
• Experience with SAP interfaces and integration with external applications, 3PLs or logistics partners.
