Job summary

Reolink is seeking a Software Lead / Project Manager to steer the Java development team and deliver high-quality, reliable solutions for smart security systems.

You will mentor developers, conduct code reviews, and own design, refactoring and performance optimization across core components, collaborating with local and regional teams to ensure robust, scalable software products.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in CS, SE or related field.
• At least 5 years of software development experience in Java.
• At least 1 year of leading a team of software engineers.
• Strong CS fundamentals: OS, networks, data structures, algorithms.
• Experience with cloud platforms AWS or Azure.
• Experience with Kafka, RocketMQ, Dubbo, Zookeeper and Redis.
• Deep knowledge of MySQL: schema design, SQL optimization, and scaling.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical projects from inception to completion, ensuring alignment with business goals and on-time delivery.
• Mentor 2-5 developers and foster professional growth.
• Conduct thorough code reviews and enforce best practices.
• Take ownership of design, development, refactoring, and performance optimization of core system components.
• Research, design, and implement innovative solutions for high-concurrency and scalable architectures.
• Participate in full software lifecycle from requirements to deployment and operation with local and regional teams.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline
• Minimum 5 year experience of software development experience (Java Programming) and minimum 1 year experience in leading group of software engineers are preferable.
• Strong understanding of computer science fundamentals (operating systems, network principles, data structures, and algorithms)
• Cloud Platforms: AWS and Azure
• Frameworks: Common open-source frameworks and tools such as Kafka, RocketMQ, Dubbo, Zookeeper, and Redis.
• Deep knowledge of MySQL, including schema design, SQL optimization, and database scaling strategies.

• Actively participate in the entire software development lifecycle, from requirements analysis and system design to testing, deployment, and operational monitoring.
• Work effectively with local and regional team members, as well as business unit partners.
• Share knowledge, promote best practices, and help elevate the team's overall technical capabilities.
