Job summary

INFOWIZ PTE LTD is seeking a seasoned Lead Backend Engineer in Singapore to drive the technical execution and architecture of our backend services. You will solve complex challenges, ensure reliability, and mentor junior engineers through peer reviews and knowledge sharing.

You will own architecture, design, and development of high-concurrency systems, partnering with Product and Engineering leaders to align technical strategy with business goals.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of backend development experience in high-concurrency environments such as e-commerce, gaming and social platforms.
• Bachelor's degree or above in computer science, software engineering, or a related technical field.
• Expert proficiency in C# and the .NET 6 / Core framework, with strong hands-on experience in at least one other backend language such as Golang, Java, or Python.
• Deep understanding of multi-threading, asynchronous programming, and distributed system fundamentals.
• Advanced knowledge of relational databases (MSSQL) and performance tuning.
• Proven ability to work independently on complex tasks in a fast-paced environment and apply modern DevOps practices (CI/CD).

You will play a key part in guiding technical decisions and supporting the growth of junior engineers through peer code reviews and knowledge sharing tasks.

Responsibilities:

• Own and lead the architecture, design, and development of scalable, high-performance backend systems powering mission-critical, high-concurrency platforms, ensuring reliability, availability, security, and long-term maintainability.
• Drive technical excellence by establishing engineering standards and best practices through clean, production-ready code, code reviews, technical design discussions, and continuous improvement of testing, documentation, and development processes.
• Partner with Product and Engineering leaders to align technical strategy with business objectives and ensure successful delivery of critical initiatives.
• Drive system performance, reliability, and operational excellence by optimizing applications, databases, and distributed systems.
• Lead the resolution of complex production issues, and improving platform scalability under heavy workloads.
• Mentor and grow team of backend engineers through technical coaching, knowledge sharing, and hands-on leadership while continuously evaluating new technologies and architectural patterns to strengthen the platform and engineering capabilities.

Requirements:
