Job summary

foodpanda, part of Delivery Hero Group, invites aspiring developers to a 6-month traineeship in Singapore to build the next generation of Android apps using Kotlin.

You will work within a collaborative, agile team spanning frontend and backend engineers, designers and product owners, gaining hands-on exposure to AI integration in mobile development and large-scale codebases.

Qualifications

• Interest or experience in learning new programming languages and tools.
• Knowledge of coding in Java, Kotlin, Python, React, or Swift.
• Curiosity about AI tools and their role in modern software development.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Good command of English and ability to articulate work scope.

You’ll be part of a highly collaborative cross-functional agile team that always includes frontend and backend engineers, design and product owners. Our teams operate in an open and fast-paced environment with very flat structures where everyone has a say, and you’ll also get hands-on exposure to how modern engineering teams are integrating AI into our workflows, from development to delivery.

This role is a 6 months traineeship provided by foodpanda to build the next generation of engineers through classroom & On-the-Job training to build performant and user-friendly applications forAndroidusingKotlin.

Qualifications

What you can bring to the table:

• Interest or experience in learning new programming languages and tools to help build, maintain and operate software services at scale
• Have a good understanding or direct experience with coding in any languages and technologies, (e.g. Java, Kotlin, Python, React, Swift etc), be it from school, bootcamps or through self-learned courses.
• Exposure or curiosity about AI tools and how they fit into modern software development
• Be an analytical thinker and strong problem solver with a humble, inquisitive approach
• Good command of English with ability to articulate work scope.
• Have strong communication and collaboration skills
