Qualifications

• Strong hands-on software engineering experience in Python and/or C++.
• Experience designing, building or maintaining large-scale platforms, distributed systems or high-performance applications.
• Strong understanding of software fundamentals, system design and performance optimisation.
• Experience in Big Tech or engineering-intensive environments is desirable.
• Excellent communication skills with fluency in English.

An exciting technology-driven start-up is looking for talented Software Engineers with strong Python or C++ programming skills and experience building large-scale, high-performance systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable research infrastructure, including backtesting and simulation frameworks, order book construction and financial data services.
• Build robust market data ingestion, processing and normalisation pipelines, ensuring data accuracy, completeness and reliability.
• Collaborate closely with researchers to take models from prototype to production, optimising performance-critical applications using Python, C++ and CUDA where appropriate.
• Develop internal engineering tools and automation solutions, leveraging AI-assisted coding tools to improve development efficiency.
• Write clean, well-tested and maintainable code, contributing to code reviews and engineering best practices.
