Job summary

ST Semiconductor Testing Pte. Ltd. is seeking an experienced software engineer to develop and maintain control software for industrial machines using C#/.NET and C++.

You will implement motion control via EtherCAT and TwinCAT, and host communications via SECS/GEM, while supporting multi-language UI in English and Chinese. Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field.
• At least 2 years of software development experience for industrial machines, automation equipment, or semiconductor equipment.
• Proficient programming skills in C# (.NET) and C++, with a willingness to primarily work in C#.
• Strong understanding of object-oriented design, multithreading, and event-driven system architectures.
• Ability to work hands-on with real machines on the production floor and troubleshoot hardware-software integration issues.

Required competencies and certifications

• Degree or Diploma in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field
• At least 2 years of software development experience for industrial machines, automation equipment, or semiconductor equipment (fresh graduates with strong projects may apply for Associate level)
• Proficient programming skills in C# (.NET) and C++, with a willingness to primarily work in C#
• Strong understanding of object-oriented design, multithreading, and event-driven system architectures
• Ability to work hands-on with real machines on the production floor and troubleshoot hardware-software integration issues

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Experience with semiconductor handlers, test handlers, pick-and-place, or die/wafer handling equipment
• Experience with EtherCAT, TwinCAT, Beckhoff, or other motion control technologies
• Experience implementing SECS/GEM communication protocols
• Familiarity with WPF/WinForms, or modern .NET UI frameworks
• Experience integrating vision systems, testers, or other third-party equipment
• Ability to communicate in Mandarin to liaise with customers, vendors, and partners
