Job summary

sggovterp is seeking a hands-on Platform Team contributor for backend application development, system integration and Kubernetes operations. You will design, implement and maintain microservices using Java Spring Boot and Node.js, containerise with Docker/Podman, and manage Kubernetes manifests and Helm charts.

You will deploy, monitor and troubleshoot on Kubernetes, assist with cluster upgrades and patching, and contribute to CI/CD pipelines with GitLab CI and Ansible/AWX.

Qualifications

• Strong Java (Spring Boot) and Node.js/TypeScript development experience.
• Experience with REST APIs, microservices, relational databases and SQL.
• Solid understanding of Docker/Podman, Kubernetes concepts and resources (Deployments, StatefulSets, Services, Ingress, ConfigMaps, Secrets, PVs).
• Proficiency with Git, branching workflows and code reviews.
• Basic Linux administration, shell scripting and networking fundamentals (HTTP/S, DNS, TCP/IP, TLS).
• 3 to 6 years of relevant experience.
• Background in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT or related field.
• Practical Kubernetes exposure.

Responsibilities
