Job summary

APBA TG Human Resource Pte Ltd in Singapore is seeking a Platform Engineering/DevOps specialist to build and operate scalable cloud-native platforms across hybrid environments, with emphasis on developer enablement.

You will deploy and optimize Kubernetes clusters, implement secure IAM and policy-as-code, manage messaging and data stores, and design CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, ArgoCD, and GitLab, while driving reliability through monitoring and automation.

Qualifications

• 5–8 years of hands-on platform engineering, DevOps, or cloud engineering in enterprise environments.
• Kubernetes design, deployment, and administration in large-scale microservices.
• Experience with AWS, VMware ESXi, vSphere and enterprise infrastructure platforms.
• Deep understanding of Platform Engineering, DevOps, GitOps, SRE and CI/CD tooling.
• Experience with Apache Kafka, RabbitMQ and SQL/NoSQL data platforms.
• Expertise in IAM technologies and automation/scripting (Python, Shell, Ansible, Terraform).

Job description

Key Responsibilities

• Build & Operate Scalable Platforms — Design and manage cloud-native, hybrid-cloud, and on-premises platform solutions, including internal developer platforms, self-service provisioning, and developer enablement practices.

• Implement & Operate Kubernetes Platforms — Deploy, administer, and continuously improve Kubernetes ecosystems across cloud and on-premises environments, including Helm deployments, upgrades, capacity planning, and troubleshooting.

• Secure Platforms & Manage Identity (IAM) — Implement Kubernetes security and governance controls (Kyverno, container scanning, policy frameworks, secrets management) and configure IAM/SSO solutions including Keycloak, Oracle Access Manager, OAuth 2.0, JWT, and Active Directory/LDAP.

• Manage Messaging & Data Platforms — Operate and optimise Apache Kafka (KRaft) and RabbitMQ, and administer enterprise data platforms including PostgreSQL (Patroni clustering), MSSQL, MySQL, and MongoDB.

• Automate Delivery & Infrastructure (CI/CD, IaC) — Design and support CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, ArgoCD, GitLab) and provision infrastructure using Terraform, Ansible, and scripting to enable secure, efficient, DevSecOps-aligned delivery.

• Drive Reliability & Observability — Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting (Grafana, Prometheus, Manage Engine), proactively resolve incidents, conduct root cause analysis, and eliminate manual processes through automation.

Key Requirements

• 5–8 years of hands‑on experience in Platform Engineering, DevOps, Infrastructure, Cloud Engineering, or related roles in enterprise‑scale cloud‑native, hybrid‑cloud, and on‑premises environments.

• Kubernetes expertise — hands‑on design, deployment, and administration using Docker, Helm, and GitOps in large‑scale microservices environments.

• Cloud & infrastructure — strong experience with AWS, VMware ESXi, vSphere, and enterprise infrastructure platforms.

• CI/CD, DevOps & IaC — deep understanding of Platform Engineering, DevOps, GitOps, SRE, and CI/CD (Jenkins, ArgoCD, GitLab), plus proficiency in Terraform, Ansible, Chef, or equivalent.

• Messaging & data platforms — experience with Apache Kafka, RabbitMQ, and enterprise data platforms (PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server, MongoDB, Cassandra, Elasticsearch, Trino).

• Security, IAM & automation — expertise in IAM technologies (OAuth 2.0, OIDC, SAML, JWT, Keycloak, Kerberos, SSO, Active Directory), platform security/policy‑as‑code, and strong automation/scripting skills (Python, Shell, Ansible, Terraform).
