Job summary

SCIENTEC CONSULTING PTE. LTD. in Singapore West (Hybrid) is seeking an experienced Senior Full-Stack Engineer to design, develop and maintain full-stack applications, APIs and integrations.

You will build backend services using Kotlin, Java, Spring Boot, and develop modern frontend apps with Svelte, React or Vue. Join us to design RESTful and GraphQL APIs, implement microservices, and deploy cloud-native solutions on AWS with ECS, Kubernetes and Lambda.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of full-stack software engineering experience.
• Hands-on AWS cloud tech: ECS, Kubernetes, AWS Lambda.
• Backend focus: Kotlin, Java and Spring Boot.
• Frontend experience: Svelte, React or Vue.
• Strong GitLab CI/CD pipelines experience.
• IaC experience with AWS CDK, Terraform or OpenTofu advantageous.
• Good understanding of REST APIs, GraphQL and microservices.
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Knowledge of authentication, authorization, encryption and auditing.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain full-stack applications, APIs, integrations and internal platforms.
• Build backend services using Kotlin, Java, Spring Boot or similar technologies.
• Develop modern frontend applications using Svelte, React, Vue or similar frameworks.
• Design and implement RESTful APIs, GraphQL APIs and microservices architectures.
• Develop and maintain cloud-native solutions on AWS, including ECS, Kubernetes and Lambda.
• Implement and manage infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as AWS CDK, Terraform or OpenTofu.
• Build and maintain automated CI/CD pipelines using GitLab.
• Work with both SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Implement security controls covering authentication, authorisation, encryption, audit logging and access management.
• Ensure applications and infrastructure comply with organisational, government and regulatory security requirements.
• Maintain high standards of code quality, documentation, testing and engineering practices.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of full-stack software engineering experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with AWS cloud technologies such as ECS, Kubernetes and AWS Lambda.
• Strong backend development experience; Kotlin, Java and Spring Boot
• Experience with frontend frameworks such as Svelte, React or Vue.
• Strong experience with GitLab CI/CD pipelines
• Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code, preferably AWS CDK, Terraform or OpenTofu would be advantageous
• Good understanding of REST APIs, GraphQL and microservices architecture.
• Experience working with SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Understanding of authentication, authorisation, encryption and audit logging.
• Experience implementing security and compliance requirements in production environments.
• Experience with system integration and event-driven architecture.
• Ability to translate architectural designs and business requirements into practical technical solutions.
