Job summary

ByteDance is seeking interns to join the Global Payment team and work on payments systems across the TikTok platform. You will develop high-quality software, identify tasks in the lifecycle, and collaborate with internal teams and vendors to improve products.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor or Master degree in software development, computer science, computer engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Excellent programming, debugging, and optimization skills in one or more general purpose programming languages.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills; self-starter and flexible.
• Agile, fast learner with a strong sense of product ownership and creative problem solving.
• Collaborative and comfortable in a fast-moving, diverse, globally distributed team environment.
• Preferred: internship experience with hands-on exposure to the tech stack; interest in the payment industry.

Responsibilities

• Identify, prioritise and execute tasks in the software development life cycle.
• Develop tools and applications by producing clean, efficient code.
• Automate tasks through appropriate tools and scripting.
• Review and debug code; perform validation and verification testing.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to fix and improve our products.
• Document development phases and monitor systems.
• Ensure software is up-to-date with latest technologies.

About The TeamThe Global Payment team provides payment and financial solutions -- including payment acquisitions, disbursements, transaction monitoring, payment method management, foreign exchange conversion, accounting, reconciliations, and so on to ensure that our users have a smooth and secure payment experience on the TikTok platform.We are looking for talented individuals to join us for an internship. Our internship program offers students hands-on experience, industry exposure, and opportunities to apply their knowledge to real-world challenges while building a strong foundation for personal and professional growth.Interns will gain practical experience, explore potential career paths, and participate in social events, learning programs, and development workshops alongside industry professionals.Candidates may apply to a maximum of two positions across Our Company and its affiliates globally.
