Job summary

Efunity Pte. Ltd. is seeking a software engineering intern to join the R&D team and work on live data pipelines and a facial-recognition module deployed on customer sites.

You will spend most of your time in Python, maintaining an ingestion pipeline from AWS S3 through Redis Streams to PostgreSQL and owning a face-recognition script used on FSA installations. About one day a week you will be on site with engineers for commissioning and troubleshooting in real-world environments.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Information Technology or a related discipline, with a 12-month IWSP or industrial attachment window.
• Genuinely comfortable in Python - read, debug and extend existing code.
• Experience with PostgreSQL/SQL databases, Redis, MQTT, Docker, Linux, AWS, OpenCV.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and extend data ingestion pipeline from AWS S3 to PostgreSQL via Redis Streams and MQTT.
• Own the computer-vision script for facial recognition on FSA installations and improve latency and detection.
• Support on-site commissioning and troubleshooting across live projects about one day per week.
• Improve logging, documentation, and release discipline; keep Jira up to date.
