Google Pay Growth and Communications in Singapore is seeking a Software Engineer to help design and deploy scalable features across mobile, web, and backend systems. The role focuses on high-throughput, reliable services and close collaboration with PMs and UX to deliver end-to-end features.
Applicants should have a BS degree or equivalent and 2 years of experience in software programming (C++, Java, Python, or Go) and data structures/algorithms.
Experience driving progress, solving problems, and mentoring more junior team members; deeper expertise and applied knowledge within relevant area.

Our Comms infrastructure powers the high-throughput messaging systems required to reliably engage hundreds of millions of users. Simultaneously, under Growth, we fully own high-volume user acquisition channels including our core referral and reward engines that drive massive-scale traffic and generate multi-million dollar business streams.
In this role, you will design and deploy scalable features ranging from our core referral and reward engines to robust, high-throughput communication infrastructure that shape the financial journey for hundreds of millions of users, while leveraging agentic workflows and generative AI tools to accelerate delivery.
Whether it is paying online with Autofill, using tap and pay in stores, or using the Google Pay app, the Payments team at Google is focused on making payments simple, seamless, and secure. In addition to consumer payment technologies, the Payments team also powers the money movement between Google and its consumers and businesses.
