Job summary

ENUIT PTE. LTD. is seeking a Software Engineer to join our team and contribute to the Entrade platform for a global client base.

You will collaborate with product managers, project managers, business analysts, and other developers to enhance and innovate our software offerings for commodities trading and risk management. The role requires strong C# and React.js skills, SQL Server experience, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science/Engineering, or a related field.
• Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Highly resourceful, detail-oriented team player with a strong aptitude for learning.
• Proficient in SQL Server or other relational databases.
• Solid background in C# or similar object-oriented programming languages.
• Familiarity with Waterfall and Agile methodologies.
• Experience using AI coding assistants in real development work, with the judgment to verify or correct output.
• Demonstrated ownership of assignments and delivery results.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
• Willingness to travel occasionally.
• Experience with React.js or other front-end JavaScript frameworks is a plus.
• Knowledge of the commodity or energy trading industry is an advantage.
• Proficiency in Mandarin is a plus.
• Fresh graduates with a strong technical foundation are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Gather and analyse business requirements with product managers, project managers, and analysts.
• Contribute to initial implementation and ongoing enhancement of product functions, including integration with upstream/downstream systems.
• Develop prototypes and demo software and provide technical support during pre-sales activities.
• Collaborate with clients' IT teams to resolve implementation and production issues.
• Work with architects and developers to create or enhance functions and features.
• Write clean, reliable, and scalable code using React.js and C# after understanding requirements.
• Review, refactor, and debug code for performance and maintainability.
• Perform performance tuning at application and database levels.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation throughout the SDLC.
• Use AI tools to accelerate development, testing, and documentation while ensuring safety and correctness.
• Apply AI to production issue investigation with evidence-based confirmation.

Key Responsibilities

• Effectively communicate with product managers, project managers, and business analysts to gather and analysebusiness requirements.
• Contribute to the initial implementation and ongoing enhancement of product functions and features, includingintegration with upstream and downstream systems, by providing installation, configuration, design, coding,testing, optimisation, and troubleshooting services at both the application and database levels.
• Develop prototypes and demonstration software (demoware) and provide technical support during pre-salesactivities to prospective clients.
• Collaborate with clients' IT teams, project team members, and support staff to efficiently resolveimplementation and production issues.
• Work closely with subject matter experts, architects, and fellow developers in a highly cohesive teamenvironment to create new functions and features or enhance existing ones.
• Write clean, reliable, and scalable code using primarily React.js and C# after thoroughly understanding andanalysing business requirements.
• Analyse, review, revise, update, refactor, and debug code to ensure high performance and maintainability.
• Perform performance tuning and optimisation at both the application and database levels.
• Prepare and maintain comprehensive documentation throughout the software development life cycle (SDLC).
• Use AI tools to accelerate development, testing, and documentation, while reviewing all output for correctness,security, performance, and consistency with our existing architecture and domain model.
• Apply AI to production issue investigation - log analysis, stack traces, execution plans, unfamiliar code - whiledriving the investigation yourself, confirming root cause with real evidence, and never running generated scriptsagainst production data without fully understanding their impact.
• Handle client trade and counterparty data responsibly by using only company-approved AI tooling.
