Job summary

Albert Bow Limited seeks a senior Software Engineer to replace a legacy stack and build the core platform for high-speed trading. You will work closely with traders and engineers on execution, order management and market data, delivering fast, reliable systems in a hands-on role.

The role requires 7+ years building low-latency systems, with experience in HFT or market making and proficiency in Rust or C/C++. Relocation and visa sponsorship are provided for Singapore.

Software Engineer - Core & Platform | Singapore

US$300k–US$400k base | Total compensation up to US$750k | Relocation and visa sponsorship

Some engineering roles are about maintaining what’s already there. This one is about helping build what comes next!

A proprietary trading firm is replacing its legacy stack and rebuilding the core systems behind its trading. They’re looking for a senior engineer who knows what it takes to make trading systems fast, reliable and ready for real market conditions.

You’d work closely with traders and engineers on execution, order management, exchange connectivity and real-time market data. It’s a hands-on individual contributor role, with room to shape how the new platform is built.

The work

• Build low-latency systems for high-frequency and algorithmic trading


• Develop and improve execution, order management and market data components


• Connect trading systems to exchanges and brokers


• Find and fix performance bottlenecks through profiling, debugging and tuning


• Work directly with traders to turn trading needs into production systems

You’ll likely be a fit if you

• Have around 7+ years building low-latency systems; six years may also be considered


• Have worked in HFT or market making, ideally in traditional financial markets


• Are strong in Rust or C/C++


• Have worked with equities, options or futures


• Enjoy getting close to the systems and solving problems hands-on

Experience with exchange or broker APIs, order management, pricing or risk systems is useful. Banking backgrounds are also in scope. Digital-asset experience can be relevant alongside traditional markets experience; a crypto-only background isn’t the target.

Location and package

This role is based in Singapore. Candidates must be willing to relocate. Relocation and visa sponsorship are available, with support for family relocation.

The base salary is US$300,000–US$400,000, with total compensation potentially reaching US$750,000.
