Job summary

Google’s Core team is building the foundational technology behind its flagship products, focusing on scalable content safety and responsible AI. Engineers work on large-scale systems, storage, and infrastructure to support safe, coherent user experiences.

The Content Safety organization collaborates with ML and high-throughput infrastructure to protect users and accelerate product launches, aligning with Google's Responsible AI principles.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 2 years of software programming experience in Python, Java, or C++.
• 1 year of experience in a core ML domain, such as NLP, CV, or ML infrastructure.
• 1 year of experience with ML infrastructure (training, inference, deployment, evaluation).

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and scale content safety systems including classifiers, vector databases, and multimodal models.
• Develop and maintain production-grade distributed systems and content processing pipelines.
• Model training, evaluation, and productionization workflows.
• Implement agentic workflows and heuristics for deep threat understanding and abuse detection.
• Drive agile engineering efforts to identify and mitigate novel abuse patterns.
