Job summary

United States Digital Space LLC is expanding its Cargo Movements data platform in Singapore. You will help develop backend services, data pipelines, and APIs, while ensuring reliability and high availability.

The role emphasizes collaboration with product, analytics, and data science teams, writing clean, tested code, and participating in design and code reviews. English communication is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience using Python for data processing, transformation, or integration workflows.
• Understanding of data integration and ETL principles, including batch, asynchronous, or streaming processing.
• Experience with SQL and relational databases.
• Familiarity with APIs and backend services development/maintenance.
• Knowledge of Git, code reviews, automated testing, and CI/CD practices.
• Ability to write clean, well-tested code following engineering standards.
• Basic understanding of containerisation technologies such as Docker.
• Ability to investigate technical problems and communicate blockers.
• Curiosity and willingness to learn new technologies and domains.
• Ability to collaborate across product, engineering, analytics and data science teams.
• Fluent written and spoken English.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and enhance backend services, data pipelines, APIs and user-facing features within scope and guidance.
• Write clean, secure, and well-tested code following team standards.
• Contribute to design discussions and provide input on implementation choices.
• Investigate and debug issues in development and production using logs and metrics.
• Support reliability and performance through monitoring, testing, deployment, and ops improvements.
• Collaborate with product managers, engineers, analysts and data scientists to clarify requirements.
• Participate in code reviews with constructive feedback and responsiveness.
• Create and maintain technical documentation for features and processes.
