Job summary

IMDA is seeking a Software Engineer to design and develop software applications that push the boundaries of innovation and drive business success through frontier technology. The role focuses on building scalable solutions with Node.js and Python, RESTful APIs, and modern databases.

You will work within the Advanced Intelligent Software Systems (AISS) team on projects like AI Verify and GPT-Legal, collaborating with product managers, researchers and other engineers in an agile environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of software engineering experience.
• Proficient in Node.js and Python.
• Experience with REST APIs and MongoDB.
• Understanding of software design patterns and microservices.
• Experience with Docker; Kubernetes is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to conceptualize, plan and implement software solutions.
• Develop clean, maintainable, secure and efficient code to deliver quality software.
• Take ownership of software quality – write unit and integration tests and perform code reviews.
• Create and maintain technical documentation including code comments and diagrams.
• Participate in agile ceremonies to deliver software iterations on time.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting to resolve user-reported issues.
• Stay updated with industry trends to enhance capabilities and efficiency.
