Job summary

A-IT Software Services Pte Ltd in Singapore is seeking an experienced AS400 developer to review requirements and build CL/RPG programs with DB2. You will configure AS400 environments for new servers/apps across countries and create interface file layouts for file transfers using Connect Direct.

You will also develop job schedulers to integrate upstream and downstream systems (e.g., Control-M) and perform rigorous testing to ensure data accuracy and deployment readiness.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 years of relevant banking experience.
• Proficiency in AS400 CL and RPG programming with AS400/DB2.
• Experience with job scheduling tools like Control-M.
• Knowledge of SDLC and requirement gathering, testing and deployment.
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision and strong communication.

Responsibilities

• Review requirements and develop CL/RPG programs with DB2 on AS400.

Job Description & Requirements

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for reviewing/understanding requirements and develop CL/RPG programs with DB2 in AS400
• Responsible for AS400 system environment setup for new server/apps/country
• Responsible for build of interface file layout in AS400 with the Connect Direct setup to file sending/receiving with source system in various platforms.
• Responsible for development of job schedulesthat integrate the upstream and downstream systems (e.g. Control-M)
• Responsible for unit testing, debugging, and performance testing, with key focus on data accuracy and integrity
• Accountable for on-time delivery of all documentation, design, build, testing, and deployment according to the work breakdown structures
• Work with production support teams as required to support production activities, including production migrations, continuity testing, environment migration activities
• Must have impeccable written and oral communication skills down to the functional/technical documentation level
• Ensure that documentation is captured, maintained, understood by and available to business and/or IT partners
• Escalate critical technical issues and potential problems as needed to the Project Manager to address any related issues in advance of deadlines
