HELIUS SOLUTIONS PTE. LTD. is seeking a Software Developer to join its team in Singapore.

The role focuses on Java-based application development for the head office across multiple booking centres, delivering robust interfaces and scalable local solutions. The ideal candidate will have 10-12 years of experience across front-end, back-end, and data queries, with banking domain exposure and strong collaboration in an Agile setting.

Qualifications

• 10-12 years of development experience in Front-end applications, programming languages, and back-end queries.
• Well organized with ability to prioritise and drive multiple tasks to milestones.
• Able to translate functional requirements to efficient technical solutions.
• Experience in Private banking / Wealth management domain.
• Domain knowledge on Corporate Actions is a plus.
• Communicate highly technical issues to non-technical audiences.
• Understand business requirements and translate to scalable, stable technical solutions.
• Adherence to bank standards (code, security, performance).
• Experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum/XP).

Role: Software Developer

KEY FEATURES OF THE POSITION

• Involve in the implementation of Java based application for head office for multiple booking centres.
• Passionate about technologies, building robust and scalable interfaces and local developments
• Hands on experience in analysis, design, coding, and implementation of complex and custom-built solution
• Work collaboratively with team to achieve goals. Experience working in a Safe Agile environment
• Stake holder management – working closely with program stakeholders, business change engineers, and project managers to drive and manage IT delivery.
• Drive and review technical and architectural design, enforce architectural guidelines and challenge status quo
• Take responsibility for ensuring that risks and issues are identified and managed closely and delivered on time and to the required quality standards
• Demonstration of appropriate values and behaviours including but not limited to standards on honesty and integrity, due care and diligence, fair dealing (treating customers fairly), management of conflicts of interest, competence and continuous development, adequate risk management, and compliance with applicable laws and regulations

SKILLS REQUIREMENTS OF THE POSITION

PROFESSIONAL

• 10-12 years of development experience in Front-end applications, programming languages, and back-end queries.
• Well organized and ability to prioritise and carry out multiple tasks. Able to influence and drive projects to meet key milestones and overcome challenges.
• Able to translate functional requirements to efficient and fit-for-purpose technical solutions
• Should have experience in Private banking / Wealth management domain
• Domain knowledge on Corporate Actions domain is a plus
• Communicate highly technical issues to non-technical audience
• Understand business / system requirements and translate them into technical solutions that are scalable, stable, and fit for purpose.
• Ensure adherence to the bank standards (including code, security and performance)
• Work collaboratively with team to achieve goals. Experience working in Agile methodologies, such as Scrum, and/or Extreme programming

Technical:

• Strong knowledge on Java, JBOSS and Spring boot, Hibernate frameworks.
• Strong knowledge on Service oriented architecture, RESTful services
• Good knowledge of SQL (MySQL, Oracle, Postgres etc.)
• Working knowledge of Kubernetes (PKS) and containerization, streaming using Kafka, Avro schema
• Strong computer science knowledge (algorithms, data structures, object-oriented design)
• Working knowledge of GITLAB repositories, Maven, Octopus, CI / CD pipeline
• Basic Linux shell scripting commands
