Job summary

IMBUE SOFTWARES PTE. LTD. is seeking an experienced software engineer to design, build, and maintain scalable web applications using React.js and Python. The role emphasizes AI-enabled development and integration of AI APIs to accelerate delivery and improve quality.

You will work across the full development lifecycle, collaborating with product owners, architects, QA and DevOps to deliver production-ready solutions with robust security and performance.

Qualifications

• 7-10 years of software development experience with strong hands-on React.js and Python.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable, secure and high-performance web applications using React.js and Python.
• Build reusable, maintainable frontend components using React.js.
• Develop backend services, REST APIs and microservices using Python frameworks such as FastAPI, Flask or Django.
• Design and integrate APIs between frontend, backend and external systems.
• Work with relational and NoSQL databases and optimize application performance.
• Implement authentication, authorization, logging, monitoring and errorhandling.
• Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to engineering standards.
• Use Generative AI and AI-powered development tools to improve productivity.
• Apply AI-assisted coding for code generation, refactoring, debugging, test generation and documentation.
• Develop integrations with LLMs and AI APIs such as OpenAI, Anthropic or equivalent platforms.

Responsibilities

The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, integrating and maintaining scalable web applications while leveraging Generative AI, AI-coding assistants and modern developer productivity tools to accelerate software delivery and improve engineering quality.

The role requires someone who can work across the full development lifecycle – from requirements analysis and solution design through development, testing, deployment and production support.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable, secure and high-performance web applications using React.js and Python.
• Build reusable, maintainable and well-tested frontend components using React.js.
• Develop backend services, REST APIs and microservices using Python frameworks such as FastAPI, Flask or Django.
• Design and integrate APIs between frontend, backend and external systems.
• Work with relational and NoSQL databases and optimize application performance.
• Implement authentication, authorization, logging, monitoring and errorhandling.
• Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to engineering standards.

AI-Enabled Development

• Use Generative AI and AI-powered development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude, ChatGPT or equivalent tools to improve development productivity.
• Apply AI-assisted coding for code generation, refactoring, debugging, test generation and documentation.
• Use AI tools effectively across the SDLC while maintaining code quality,security and maintainability.
• Explore and implement AI-powered features within applications where appropriate.
• Develop integrations with LLMs and AI APIs such as OpenAI, Anthropic or equivalent platforms.
• Experience with prompt engineering, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG),embeddings and vector databases will be an advantage.
• Evaluate AI-generated code and ensure appropriate human review, testing and security validation.

Engineering & Delivery

• Translate business requirements into technical solutions and deliver production-ready applications.
• Work closely with Product Owners, Business Analysts, Architects, QA engineers and DevOps teams.
• Develop automated unit, integration and API tests.
• Troubleshoot production issues and perform root-cause analysis.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and cloud-based deployments.
• Follow Agile/Scrum development practices.
• Ensure solutions comply with organizational security, architecture and coding standards.

Required Technical Skills

7-10 years of software development experience, with strong hands-on experience in React.js and Python.

Frontend

• Strong hands-on experience with React.js

Backend

• Strong hands-on experience with Python
