QUESS SELECTION & SERVICES PTE. LTD. is seeking a Software Engineer (SAP ABAP) in Singapore to design, develop, enhance, and support SAP applications across the SDLC. The role collaborates with functional consultants and business stakeholders to deliver reliable SAP solutions.

The ideal candidate has 4+ years of SAP ABAP experience, proficiency in RICEFW, OOABAP, SQL, and a strong grasp of debugging, performance tuning, and SAP transport concepts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS, IT, BIS, engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 4 years designing, developing, and supporting SAP applications.
• Strong proficiency in SAP ABAP programming and SDLC.
• Experience with RICEFW objects and ABAP OO concepts.
• Experience with debugging, performance tuning, and optimisation.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, enhance, and support SAP applications across SDLC.
• Analyse requirements and deliver reliable SAP ABAP solutions.
• Develop and support RICEFW objects (Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, Forms, Workflows).
• Build interfaces using BAPIs, RFCs, IDocs, and Web Services.
• Collaborate with functional consultants and business stakeholders.
• Perform unit testing, UAT, deployment, and post-production support.
• Participate in code reviews and ensure SAP standards and security.
• Prepare technical specs and system documentation.

Job Responsibilities

• Software Engineer (SAP ABAP) with a minimum of 4 years of experience to design, develop, enhance, and support SAP applications. The successful candidate will work closely with functional consultants and business stakeholders to deliver reliable, scalable, and high-quality SAP solutions throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Analyse functional and technical requirements and develop SAP ABAP solutions to support business processes.
• Design, develop, test, and maintain ABAP programs, reports, interfaces, enhancements, forms, and workflows.
• Develop and support Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, Forms, and Workflows (RICEFW) objects.
• Build and maintain interfaces using BAPIs, RFCs, IDocs, and Web Services.
• Perform unit testing and support integration testing, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), deployment, and post-production support.
• Troubleshoot and resolve SAP application defects, performance issues, and production incidents.
• Prepare and maintain technical specifications, design documents, and system documentation.
• Collaborate with SAP Functional Consultants, Business Analysts, and project teams to deliver business requirements.
• Participate in code reviews and ensure compliance with SAP development standards, security policies, and best practices.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance application performance and development processes.

Required Skills

• Minimum of 4 years of experience to design, develop, enhance, and support SAP applications. The successful candidate will work closely with functional consultants and business stakeholders to deliver reliable, scalable, and high-quality SAP solutions throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Information Systems, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Strong proficiency in SAP ABAP programming.
• Experience developing Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, Forms, and Workflows (RICEFW).
• Experience with ALV Reports, Smart Forms, SAP Scripts, Adobe Forms, BAPIs, RFCs, IDocs, and Enhancements/User Exits/BADIs.
• Knowledge of Object-Oriented ABAP (OOABAP).
• Experience with SQL and SAP database concepts.
• Familiarity with SAP functional modules such as FI/CO, MM, SD, PP, or HCM.
• Experience with debugging, performance tuning, and code optimisation.
• Knowledge of SAP transport management and version control processes.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and teamwork skills.
