Job summary

Allkin Singapore is seeking a Social Worker/Counsellor to be deployed across Family Service Centres (FSCs). You will conduct triage, provide casework and counselling, and lead group work to support vulnerable individuals and families.

Engagement with systems and stakeholders is required, with coordination of interventions and contribution to company projects. Bachelor’s in Social Work or Counselling is preferred; internship experience in social services is welcome.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Social Work or Counselling or related qualification.
• Experience in casework, counselling, risk/crisis management, or group work preferred.
• New entrants welcome; internships in social service settings are a plus.
• Strong analytical ability to identify and solve problems.

As a Social Worker / Counsellor within the Family Service Centres (FSCs), you may be deployed to work with various client groups across the different FSCs.

Job Description

The roles & responsibilities would include but are not limited to the following:

• Conduct triage and intake services for members of the community.
• Provide casework and counselling interventions for individuals and families.
• Plan and conduct group work to support the needs of beneficiaries.
• Engage in community work to build an ecosystem of assets and resources.
• Engagement and advocate with systems and stakeholders in the community.
• Strategize and coordinate interventions to support beneficiaries.
• Assist with company projects or report submissions.
• Carry out any other duties as assigned by HOD/supervisor.

Qualifications

• Bachelor Degree Social Work, Counselling and other relevant qualifications
• Experience in one or more of the following areas: Casework, Counselling, Risk and crisis management, Group work facilitation
• No prior work experience required for new entrants to social work but preferably with those who have done internships in the social service settings.
• Strong analytical skills with the capability to identify and solve complex problems in a timely, efficient manner.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills that enable seamless collaboration with diverse groups.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to listen actively, articulate ideas concisely and collaborate effectively with team members.
