Job summary

Allkin Singapore Ltd is seeking a Social Worker / Counsellor to support families within the Family Service Centres (FSCs). You may be deployed across FSCs and work with diverse client groups in the community.

You will conduct triage, provide casework and counselling, and plan group work to meet beneficiaries' needs. You will engage communities, advocate with stakeholders, and coordinate interventions with supervisory guidance.

As a Social Worker / Counsellor within the Family Service Centres (FSCs), you may be deployed to work with various client groups across the different FSCs.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The roles & responsibilities would include but are not limited to the following:

• Conduct triage and intake services for members of the community.
• Provide casework and counselling interventions for individuals and families.
• Plan and conduct group work to support the needs of beneficiaries.
• Engage in community work to build an ecosystem of assets and resources.
• Engagement and advocate with systems and stakeholders in the community.
• Strategize and coordinate interventions to support beneficiaries.
• Assist with company projects or report submissions.
• Carry out any other duties as assigned by HOD/supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor Degree Social Work, Counselling and other relevant qualifications
• Experience in one or more of the following areas:
  1. Casework
  2. Counselling
  3. Risk and crisis management
  4. Group work facilitation
• No prior work experience required for new entrants to social work but prefably with those who have done internships in the social service settings.
• Strong analytical skills with the capability to identify and solve complex problems in a timely, efficient manner.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills that enable seamless collaboration with diverse groups.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to listen actively, articulate ideas concisely and collaborate effectively with team members.
• Passionate about uplifting vulnerable individuals and building thriving communities.
