Job summary

APSN Education Services Ltd in Singapore is seeking a dedicated Social Worker to assess psychosocial needs, develop individualized care plans, and ensure client safety through timely interventions.

You will plan and evaluate group programmes, engage in supervision, mentor junior staff and students, and coordinate referrals to community resources while upholding professional ethics. Experience in social work or counselling is preferred.

Qualifications

• Degree and/or Post Graduate Diploma in Social Work or equivalent from recognised universities.
• Accredited with the Singapore Association of Social Workers (SASW).
• Strong command of written and spoken English.
• Experience working with persons with special needs is an advantage.
• Prior experience in social work, counselling, or a social service agency is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate psychosocial needs, develop and implement individualized care plans, address ethical issues, maintain accurate documentation, and ensure client safety through timely interventions.
• Plan, facilitate, and evaluate group programmes that promote socio-emotional wellbeing.
• Engage in ongoing supervision, practice self-care, uphold professional ethical standards, and mentor junior staff and students.
• Conduct needs and financial assessments, manage disability-related schemes, and coordinate referrals and access to community resources.
• Develop and deliver training for caregivers, staff, and partners, tailoring approaches to diverse audiences and evaluating learning outcomes.
• Manage caseloads independently, assess and mitigate risks, participate in audits, and contribute to service evaluation and continuous quality improvement.
