Job summary

CTRL Digital in Singapore is seeking a social media manager with a strong focus on vertical video editing. You will own three consumer brands end to end, with roughly 60% of your time spent editing engaging vertical clips and ensuring retention through hooks and tight pacing.

You will also build monthly content calendars, design carousels and posts, write brand-consistent captions, schedule content, and manage comments and DMs while tracking performance to refine strategies.

• Strong portfolio of reference work for social media.
• Experience in editing short-form vertical video.
• Comfortable in Canva, CapCut and Edits.
• Able to write captions that read like a person and match brand voice.

Responsibilities

• Edit 4-6 vertical videos per week with 24-48 hour turnaround and 1–2 rounds of revisions.
• Own content calendars for three brands and design carousels, posts and stories within each brand's visual system.
• Write hooks and captions that sound like the brand, not generic or AI-generated.
• Schedule posts, monitor comments/DMs, and track performance to adapt plans.

We're looking for a social media manager who is an excellent short-form video editor.

You'll own the social channels for three consumer brands end to end. But video is the centre of this role, roughly 60% of your week is editing.

The editing (the core of this role)

• Edit 4-6 vertical videos per week from footage we send you
• Cut for retention: hook in the first 1.5 seconds, tight pacing, no dead air
• Clean subtitles, motion text, sound design as standard
• 24-48 hour turnaround with 1-2 rounds of revisions

Everything else you'll own

• Help build the monthly content calendar for each brand around its campaigns and positioning
• Design carousels, single posts and stories in each brand's visual system
• Write captions and hooks that sound like the brand, not like a template or AI
• Schedule, post, and stay on top of comments and DMs
• Track what performs, understand why, and adapt the plan accordingly

What we need from you

• Strong portfolio of reference work for social media
• Experience in editing short-form vertical video
• Comfortable in Canva, Edits, CapCut
• You can write captions that read like a person
• You understand retention and reach well enough to explain why something worked
• Organised enough to run three calendars without dropping a post
• Strong written English; work publishes as-is
• Core overlap with Singapore business hours (10am-5pm SGT)
