Job summary

MNC Industrial Automation Company is seeking an engineer to perform installation, testing, commissioning and preventive maintenance of automation systems at site in Woodlands. You will set up controllers, PCs, and software, and handle on-site buy-offs per customer specs.

The role requires 3–5 years in automation support, strong knowledge of servo motors/robots, and the ability to troubleshoot and provide clear service reports.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Electronics, Computer Engineering or related field.
• 3–5 years of relevant experience in automation systems setup or service support.
• Proficiency with servo motors, robots and related electrical components.
• Experience installing software and configuring PCs/machines.

Responsibilities

• Automation system installation, testing, commissioning, and maintenance.
• Setup electronics controllers, PC, and install software.
• Perform onsite machine buy-off per customer requirements.
• Analyze equipment failures and identify root causes to repair.
• Read machine logfiles to identify root cause of problems.
• Repair electrical components, set up robot software and PC software.
• Maintain seamless interface between customers and company.
• Demonstrate integrity and work independently with minimal supervision.
• Coordinate with internal departments to resolve customer issues; escalate when needed.
• Respond to phone and onsite support requests per SLA.
• Prepare and present accurate service reports in a timely manner.

Job Scope

• Automation system installation, testing, commissioning, and maintenance.


• Setup electronics controllers, PC, and install software.

• Able to analyzeelectrical/electronic circuit, read machine logfiles to identify root cause forthe problem

• Spearhead customer issues and coordinate with internal departments and customer stakeholders to resolve them efficiently. Escalate to management if necessary.
