Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering with HVAC specialization preferred.
• Internships or final year project with HVAC/thermodynamics content.
• Knowledge of HVAC design principles and related calculations.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and MS Office.
• Strong team collaboration and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Engineering Support & Design: assist in HVAC system design incl. air conditioning, ventilation, split units, automation & electrical systems.
• Produce engineering deliverables: P&ID, P&ID, layout drawings, and technical documentation.
• Contribute to thermal calculations, equipment sizing and system selection under supervision.
• Ensure consistency and quality of engineering deliverables.
• Project Support: assist design engineers in project execution and meet schedules.
• Procurement & coordination: assist in supplier/specifications and tracking milestones.
• Technical Coordination: collaborate with mechanical, electrical, automation, and piping teams; client/shipyard meetings.
• Site Support: assist during installation, testing, and commissioning.
• Career Development: progress toward senior design/project engineer roles with ongoing training.

Job description

Key Responsibilities

1. Engineering Support & Design

   Support the design of HVAC systems including (but not limited to):

   • Air conditioning systems
   • Ventilation systems
   • Split units
   • Automation & electrical systems
   • Instrumentation
   • Ducting and piping systems

   Assist in the preparation and production of engineering deliverables:

   • P&ID, D&ID and other schematic drawings
   • Layout drawings
   • Technical documentation

   Contribute to thermal calculations, equipment sizing and system selection under supervision.

   Ensure consistency and quality of engineering deliverables.

2. Project Support

   Support Design Engineers in project execution.

   Contribute to meeting design and production schedules (manufacturing and equipment delivery).

   Assist in tracking deliverables and project milestones.

3. Technical Coordination

   Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (mechanical, electrical, automation, piping).

   Participate in technical meetings with clients and shipyards.

   Support the preparation and presentation of design drawings and technical documentation.

   Progressive exposure to managing technical interactions with clients.

4. Procurement

   Assist in:

   • Preparation of technical specifications for suppliers and OEMs
   • Sourcing of suppliers and OEMs
   • Technical evaluation of suppliers and OEMs

   Support coordination with suppliers and subcontractors under supervision.

5. Site Support

   Provide support during execution phases:

   • Installation
   • Testing & commissioning
   • System validation

   Assist in ensuring systems comply with:

   • Performance requirements
   • Safety standards
6. Career Development

   Clear progression path towards Senior Design Engineer or Project Engineer roles.

Qualifications & skills

1. Educational Requirements

   Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering (with HVAC specialization preferred).

2. Experience
   • Internship(s) in engineering or industrial environment
   • Final year project with strong technical content (HVAC, thermodynamics, fluid systems, energy systems)
3. Technical Skills & Personality
   • Basic knowledge of: Thermodynamics, heat transfer, and fluid mechanics (for mechanical profiles)
   • Engineering design principles
   • Familiarity with: AutoCAD
   • Microsoft Office
   • Willingness to learn and develop technical expertise
   • Proactive and hands-on mindset
