Job summary

RECRUIT INC PRIVATE LIMITED seeks a qualified Optometrist to join our clinic in Singapore. The role includes taking patient histories, performing vision tests and refractions in both adults and children, and conducting monovision trials.

You will operate diagnostic equipment such as OCT and tonometer, and prepare medical memos. You will also handle scheduling, patient inquiries, billing on Plato, inventory, procurement, and insurance pre-authorisations to ensure smooth clinical operations and

• Diploma or degree in Optometry required.
• Must show ability to work in a clinic setting and interact with patients.

Responsibilities

• Performing VA testing, refraction, monovision trials, and cyclorefraction.
• Operate eye diagnostic equipment (OCT, wide-field camera, topographer, autorefractor, tonometer).
• Prepare ophthalmic memos/reports for patients and clinicians.
• Schedule appointments and respond to enquiries via Whatsapp, email, and phone.
• Handle billing on the EMR Plato and maintain clinic inventory.
• Procure supplies and liaise with vendors; manage pre-authorisation and insurance claims.

Job description

Optometric Duties

• Obtain clinical and ophthalmic history from patients
• Performing VA testing and manifest refraction in adults and children
• Monovision trial testing
• Performing cyclorefraction in children
• Operating eye diagnostic machines (e.g., OCT, wide-field camera, topographer, autorefractor, tonometer)
• Preparing medical memos or reports containing ophthalmic-related information

Operational / Administrative Duties

• Scheduling patient appointments
• Responding to patient enquiries on Whatsapp, email, phone
• Billing / cashiering on EMR platform Plato
• Maintain clinic inventory
• Procurement of supplies with vendors (consumables, lens implants, medications, equipment)
• Pre-authorization, E-filing, insurance claims
• Liase with operating theatre, vendors for organizing procedures

Patient Care

• Financial counselling for procedures
• Patient advisories: pre- and post-operative instructions
• Dispense doctor-prescribed medications to patients

Job Requirements:

• Diploma / Degree in Optometry
• Team player with excellent interpersonal skills
• Able to work proactively and independently
