Job summary

MicronFab10N is seeking an Electrical Engineer to lead maintenance and electrical engineering for high, medium, and low voltage systems within the Singapore Fab 10 facility. You will ensure safety, quality, and cost targets while supporting facility infrastructure projects and operations.

Job Summary

Fab 10 Facilities Electrical Engineer – responsible for leading electrical engineering and maintenance activities for high, medium, and low voltage systems, ensuring safety, quality, cost, and capacity requirements are met and supporting facility infrastructure projects and operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Adhere to company environmental safety, health, and quality policies, including risk assessment and good housekeeping standards, when performing work.
  • Report and follow up on work‑related injuries and near‑miss incidents; actively participate in safety incident investigations.
  • Attend required safety training, safety committee meetings, and classroom or computer‑based training; complete skills certification and job‑related learning within stipulated time frames.
  • Maintain and commission electrical high/low voltage systems up to 230kV, emergency generators, rotary UPS, and power quality equipment.
  • Design, verify, and support protection relay schemes and protection systems up to 230kV for substations.
  • Conduct electrical system and arc‑flash studies for existing and expansion projects.
  • Support operational issues and root‑cause analysis using standard problem‑solving methods.
  • Provide design review support for base‑build electrical systems, ensuring compliance with specifications and identifying cost‑reduction improvements.
  • Review and support capacity analysis for electrical systems.
  • Identify and evaluate electrical risk analyses, proposing improvements and implementations.
  • Review and advise on scope, schedule, and cost estimates for facility infrastructure additions or modifications.
  • Monitor project progress and provide engineering and design support during construction as required.
  • Analyze system designs to improve performance, efficiency, reduce maintenance, and achieve cost savings.
  • Conduct risk and failure‑mode and effects analysis.
  • Eliminate single points of failure and mitigate risk.
  • Benchmark engineering and design best known methods (BKMs) against Micron sites.
  • Guide, coach, and certify the electrical team through classroom and site training.
  • Lead documentation of Standard Operating Procedures, Risk Assessments, Energy Isolation Procedures, and Pre‑Task Plans.
  • Plan, schedule, and supervise preventive and corrective maintenance activities for electrical equipment and systems.
  • Lead troubleshooting and address abnormalities to support operations and contain incidents promptly.
  • Participate in root‑cause identification for electrical abnormality incidents, conduct post‑incident reviews, and execute corrective and preventive actions.
  • Manage outsourced contract service providers, ensuring performance aligns with service agreements and defined performance indicators.
  • Maintain equipment and system maintenance records for traceability of work history.
  • Review preventive and corrective maintenance performance, recommending and implementing continual improvement through new methods, procedures, time intervals, and spare parts.
  • Provide engineering expertise for system capacity expansion and enhancement projects, including capacity review studies aligned with the manufacturing operations plan.
  • Verify that engineering designs meet specifications, codes, and regulatory requirements for new capital equipment or system expansion projects.
  • Provide evaluation and recommendation on project cost, schedule, and cash‑flow plans for capital equipment or system expansions.
  • Conduct site verification for new capital equipment or system installations at critical construction milestones.
  • Support startup testing and commissioning of new equipment and systems, ensuring proper interface with mechanical, electrical, and controls subsystems.
  • Minimize risk of facility system interruption during startup testing and commissioning activities.
  • Leverage AI‑enabled tools and data analytics to improve operational efficiency, decision‑making, and reporting accuracy across facility and project activities.
  • Apply data‑driven approaches to monitor system performance, identify anomalies, and support predictive maintenance strategies.
  • Use AI‑assisted workflows to streamline documentation, incident analysis, and reporting.
  • Collaborate cross‑functionally with engineering, IT, data, and operations teams to identify opportunities for digitalization, automation, and AI adoption in facilities management.
  • Ensure governance, validation, and ethical use of AI‑generated outputs, maintaining compliance with Micron standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Support implementation of smart facility initiatives, including integration of IoT monitoring systems and AI‑driven insights to enhance reliability, energy efficiency, and resilience.
