Job summary

Patsnap in Singapore is seeking a hands-on SRE Leader with a strong software engineering background to build and lead the Singapore SRE team. You will combine team leadership with active involvement in technical design and development to improve reliability of Patsnap’s global SaaS platform and to build platforms, automation, and AI-enabled tools.

Your role includes establishing 24/7 on-call coverage, driving incident response, governance, observability, and release safety, and collaborating

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in software development, platform engineering, SRE, or related field; proven leadership of an engineering team.
• Strong programming skills in Java, Python, Go, or JavaScript/TypeScript with production delivery experience.
• Solid understanding of distributed systems, high-availability architectures, and SaaS platforms.
• Hands-on experience with AWS, Kubernetes, CI/CD, and observability; responsible for production operations and incident response.
• Experience applying AI tools or agents to engineering workflows and turning insights into repeatable practices.
• Strong technical judgment, ownership, and communication; ability to mentor engineers and drive cross-team delivery.
• Chinese language proficiency is an advantage.

• Lead end-to-end technical projects, contributing to design, development, and production rollout.
• Build internal platforms, developer tools, and automation to reduce repetitive work.

• Strengthen service governance, observability, reliability targets, and release safety.
• Identify and deliver AI tool applications to measurably boost engineering productivity and quality.
• Collaborate with engineering, product, and security across Singapore, China, and other locations.

We are looking for a hands-on SRE Leader with a strong software engineering background to build and lead PatSnap’s Singapore SRE team.

You will combine team leadership with active involvement in technical design and development, improving the reliability of our global SaaS platform while building platforms, automation, and AI-enabled tools. This role will also contribute directly to the company’s broader AI transformation.

Responsibilities

• Build and develop the Singapore SRE team, setting technical direction and delivery priorities.
• Improve the reliability, security, scalability, and engineering efficiency of our global SaaS platform.
• Lead technical projects end to end, contributing hands-on to design, development, and production rollout.
• Build internal platforms, developer tools, and automation to solve systemic problems and reduce repetitive work.
• Establish and maintain 24/7 on-call coverage through a team rotation, participate in on-call duties, and lead major incident response and follow-up improvements.
• Strengthen service governance, observability, reliability targets, and release safety.
• Identify and deliver practical applications of AI tools and agents that measurably improve engineering productivity, quality, or reliability.
• Collaborate with engineering, product, and security teams across Singapore, China, and other locations.

Job Requirements

• At least 8 years of experience in software development, platform engineering, SRE, or a related technical field, including experience leading an engineering team.
• Strong programming skills in at least one language, such as Java, Python, Go, or JavaScript/TypeScript, with proven experience delivering software projects from design to production.
• Solid understanding of distributed systems, high-availability architecture, and SaaS platforms.
• Hands-on experience with AWS, Kubernetes, CI/CD, and observability, including responsibility for production operations and incident response.
• Practical experience applying AI tools or agents to engineering workflows, with the ability to validate outputs and turn useful approaches into repeatable team practices.
• Strong technical judgment, ownership, and communication skills, with the ability to develop engineers and drive cross-team delivery.
• Chinese language proficiency is an advantage.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience building internal platforms, developer tools, or AI-powered applications from the ground up.
• Contributions to or maintenance of open-source projects.
• Experience delivering AI-enabled tools or workflows adopted by engineering teams.
