Job summary

JIA XING CONSTRUCTION PTE. LTD. is seeking a Site Engineer to oversee construction activities on site, ensuring work aligns with drawings, specifications, and quality standards.

You will coordinate with project managers, contractors, and site workers to keep the project on schedule and within safety guidelines. The ideal candidate holds a Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering, has relevant site experience, and can read drawings.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, or a related field.
• Relevant experience in the construction industry is preferred.
• Able to read and understand construction drawings and technical documents.
• Good communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily construction activities at the project site.
• Ensure work is carried out according to approved drawings, specifications, and project requirements.
• Monitor site progress and ensure construction activities are completed according to schedule.
• Review and interpret construction drawings, technical specifications, and engineering documents.
• Identify and resolve technical issues arising during construction.
• Coordinate with consultants, subcontractors, and other project stakeholders on technical matters.
• Monitor project progress and report any delays or issues to the Project Manager.
• Conduct regular site inspections to ensure work meets the required quality standards.
• Ensure construction works comply with relevant codes, regulations, and project specifications.
• Ensure all site activities comply with workplace safety requirements and relevant regulations.
• Coordinate with the safety team to maintain a safe working environment.
• Prepare daily site reports, progress reports, inspection records, and other project documentation.
• Maintain accurate records of site activities, materials, manpower, and project progress.
