Job summary

Woh Hup Group in Singapore seeks a Site Engineer to support the Project Manager in managing site works and manpower on a civil/infrastructure project. You will assist with scheduling, quality control, safety, and coordination of tasks with subcontractors and internal teams.

The role requires strong planning, problem-solving, and communication to keep the project on track and meet approved timelines while maintaining high workmanship standards.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized university.
• Experience in building or civil/infrastructure projects (3 years).
• Ability to supervise site teams and ensure workmanship quality.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and review master construction program and prepare catch-up plans.
• Supervise engineers/foremen, ensure compliance to quality procedures and workmanship standards.
• Prepare detailed program for the site team to follow and complete on time.
• Resolve drawing discrepancies and technical difficulties with the technical team.
• Prepare detailed method statements and work instructions for construction.
• Coordinate between subcontractors/vendors and monitor site manpower/material/equipment demands.
• Liaise with consultants on submissions related to structural works and technical department.
• Plan all works on site, forecast equipment/material/manpower, and control wastage.
• Adhere to safety practices in the workplace.
• Identify problems affecting schedules and recommend solutions.

Job description

The Site Engineer is responsible for assisting the Project Manager on the progress of site works and manpower related aspects of the project.

A summary of the responsibilities of this position are, and not limited to, as follows:

• Monitor and review master construction program and preparation of catch-up program, if applicable.
• Monitor and supervise Engineers / foremen, ensure compliance to the quality procedures & standard of workmanship. Checking on quality and quantity of work by subcontractors.
• Preparation of detailed program for the site team to follow accordingly & completed in time.
• Resolve drawing discrepancies & technical difficulties with Technical team.
• Preparation of detailed method statements and work instructions for construction.
• Coordinates between sub-contractors/vendors/internal departments and monitor site manpower / material / equipment demands to meet schedules.
• Liaise with the Consultants on the submission related to structural works and Technical Department.
• Plan all works on site, including program schedules and construction methods, forecast equipment, material and manpower requirement, and control usage and wastages of all.
• Adherence to safety practices in the work place.
• Ability to identify potential and occurring problems that affect the schedule of works at site and recommend solutions to relevant team / department.
• Ensuring that the site works are completed with high quality standards and adhering to safety requirements throughout the project.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

• Experience: Prior 3 years experience in building or civil/infrastructure projects
