Job summary

Lian Huah Engineering Pte Ltd is seeking a motivated Site Engineer (Electrical) to join our project team in Singapore. The role targets day-to-day coordination and supervision of electrical works at project sites, ensuring safety, on-schedule delivery, budget compliance, and quality standards.

The candidate will coordinate with project teams, clients, and suppliers, review shop drawings, and support testing and commissioning activities while ensuring site safety and adherence to schedules.

Qualifications

• Must have at least a Diploma/NTC/Nitec in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant electrical installation or building services experience in Singapore.
• Experience with turnkey electrical installation, A&A works, or building projects is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate day-to-day electrical project execution and supervision on site.
• Supervise site activities and subcontractors per drawings, specs, and schedule.
• Monitor progress and coordinate with project team for timely completion.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, main contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers on technical matters.

Job description

Lian Huah Engineering Pte Ltd is seeking a motivated and experienced Site Engineer (Electrical) to join our project team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day coordination and supervision of electrical works at project sites, ensuring that works are carried out safely, on schedule, within budget and to the required quality standards.

Job Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate the day-to-day execution of assigned electrical projects and ensure successful project delivery.
• Supervise and coordinate site activities, workers and subcontractors to ensure works are carried out according to approved drawings, specifications, method statements, project schedule and quality requirements.
• Monitor project progress and coordinate with the project team to achieve timely completion of works.
• Liaise and coordinate with clients, consultants, main contractors, subcontractors and suppliers on technical and site matters.
• Attend site meetings, technical discussions and progress meetings and follow up on outstanding technical and site issues.
• Review and coordinate electrical shop drawings, material submissions, technical submissions and other project documentation.
• Provide technical support to the project team and assist in the selection and coordination of electrical equipment and materials.
• Assist the Project Manager in project planning, cost control, procurement, progress monitoring and preparation of monthly progress claims.
• Monitor site productivity, manpower and material requirements and assist in implementing measures to improve project efficiency and profitability.
• Coordinate and lead testing and commissioning activities for electrical systems and equipment.
• Assist in the preparation of testing and commissioning documentation, operation manuals and as-built information.
• Conduct or coordinate system training and handover activities for clients upon project completion.
• Work closely with the Project Manager and Safety personnel to ensure compliance with project safety requirements and safe work practices.
• Identify site issues, technical constraints and potential delays, and assist in implementing appropriate solutions.
• Support the company in tender preparation, technical proposals and business development activities when required.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the management.

Job Requirements

• Minimum NTC / Nitec / Higher Nitec / Diploma in Electrical Engineering or an equivalent electrical engineering qualification.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in electrical installation, building services or construction projects in Singapore.
• Candidates with experience in turnkey electrical installation, A&A (Addition & Alteration) works, commercial, industrial or building projects will be advantageous.
• Good knowledge of electrical installation practices, drawings, specifications and site coordination.
• Experience in project coordination, site supervision, testing and commissioning will be an advantage.
• Able to read and understand electrical drawings, specifications and technical documents.
• Good communication, coordination and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, consultants, contractors, subcontractors and site personnel.
• Good leadership skills, initiative and ability to resolve site issues in a practical manner.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and relevant project management / engineering software.
• Good command of English, both written and spoken, for communication with clients, consultants and project stakeholders.
• Mandarin language skills will be an advantage where required for communication with relevant project stakeholders.
• Responsible, proactive and able to work independently as well as part of a project team.
• Able to work under pressure and meet project deadlines.
• This is a site-based position and the successful candidate is required to be stationed at project sites during working hours.
