Job summary

PIE PTE. LTD. is seeking a Senior Electrical Project Engineer to manage electrical projects and coordinate technical matters from planning through completion on-site in Singapore.

You will oversee progress, prepare reports, and follow up on technical issues with clients, consultants, suppliers, and site teams, ensuring safety standards and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Minimum four years of relevant electrical engineering experience.
• Diploma in Electrical Engineering or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Ability to independently manage project activities and coordinate site execution.
• Proficient in reading electrical drawings and single-line diagrams.
• Strong communication and team coordination skills.
• Proficient with Excel, Word, and project reporting tools.

Responsibilities

• Plan and manage electrical works to meet project schedules, budgets, quality requirements, and safety standards.
• Prepare and update work programmes, manpower plans, procurement schedules, and progress reports.
• Monitor site progress, identify delays and risks, and implement corrective actions.
• Attend project meetings and follow up on outstanding matters with relevant parties.
• Coordinate engineers, supervisors, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of works.
• Monitor project costs, quantities, variations, and supporting records for progress claims.
• Review electrical drawings, specifications, and technical requirements, and resolve discrepancies before installation.
• Prepare and coordinate shop drawings, material submissions, method statements, and RFIs.
• Follow up on technical submissions, consultant comments, approvals, and site queries until closure.
• Coordinate electrical services with architectural, structural, and other M&E works.
• Provide technical guidance to site teams and assist with troubleshooting installation and equipment issues.
• Coordinate with Professional Engineer, Licensed Electrical Worker, and authorities where required.

• Conduct site inspections and follow up on defects and non-conforming works.

Key Responsibilities

Project Management and Reporting

Requirements

• Minimum education: A diploma awarded by a polytechnic or recognised institution in Singapore, or a bachelor’s degree awarded by an overseas university, in Electrical Engineering or a closely related discipline.

• Minimum four years of relevant working experience in electrical engineering, installation, or construction projects.

• Able to independently manage electrical project activities, coordinate site execution, and prepare clear progress reports.

• Strong technical coordination skills, with the ability to follow up on submissions, approvals, and technical issues until completion.

• Able to read and interpret electrical drawings, single-line diagrams, and specifications.

• Good communication, organisation, problem-solving, and team coordination skills.

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and project reporting tools.

Preferred Qualifications and Experience

• Experience working on electrical projects in Singapore.

• Proficiency in AutoCAD and preparation or review of electrical shop drawings.

• Experience in electrical testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting.

• Familiarity with Singapore electrical standards, authority submission procedures, and site safety practices.
