Job summary

Yuan Xiang Pte. Ltd. in Singapore is seeking a Civil Engineer to support project managers with site supervision and coordination of technical aspects.

You will help plan, schedule, forecast, and manage cost controls for materials and labour across vehicular structures and road projects. The role requires a Civil Engineering degree with PE Board recognition and at least five years of relevant experience, strong MS Office skills, and preferred AutoCAD competency.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering recognised by PE Board or equivalent registration
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in planning vehicular structures and roads
• Self-motivated, dynamic and goal oriented
• Proficient in MS Office; AutoCAD skills preferred
• Available to start within a short period

Responsibilities

• Assist Project Manager in site supervision and management
• Plan, schedule, forecast and coordinate technical and management aspects of projects
• Control material and labour costs
• Coordinate and check engineering deliverables
• Attend site meetings and monitor project progress with main and sub-contractors
• Coordinate with consultants, main contractors, sub-contractors, suppliers and authorities
• Manage daily operation of project execution and resolve construction issues
• Ensure quality control and assurance to meet project objectives
• Keep project paperwork up to date and ensure safety procedures
• Be familiar with relevant legal requirements and perform ad-hoc duties

Responsibilities:

• Assist Project Manager in site supervision and management.
• Responsible for planning, scheduling, forecasting, conducting and coordinating the technical and management aspects of projects.
• Controlling the cost of the materials and labour.
• Coordination and checking of engineering deliverables.
• Attend site meeting, inspection, and monitoring of project progress with Main Con and Sub-cons.
• Liaising and coordinating with all parties involved in the projects such as consultants, main contractors, sub-contractors, suppliers, local authorities, environmental agencies, and federal entities to ensure successfully implementation of the project.
• To manage daily operation of the project execution.
• Solving construction problems as soundly as possible.
• Acting as the quality control and assurance to ensure that the project objectives are met.
• To ensure that project paper works are properly kept and up to date.
• Ensure safe work procedures are implemented to control risk.
• Familiar with the relevant legal requirement.
• Other ad-hoc duties as assigned

Job Requirements:

• Degree in Civil Engineering recognised by the Professional Engineers (PE) Board or qualifications accepted by the Commissioner of Building Control for registration as Resident Engineer.
• At least five (5) years relevant experience including in planning the construction of vehicular structures and roads involving stage diversions.
• Self-motivated, dynamic and goal orientated candidate
• Required skill(s): MS Office, preferable candidate with AutoCad skills
• Able to start work within short period
