Job summary

China Communications Construction Company Limited (Singapore Branch) is seeking a Purchasing Officer to support the construction procurement process in Tuas Area. You will source suppliers, negotiate terms, and monitor delivery schedules.

The role requires a Bachelor degree in Engineering, at least 3 years in construction, and proficiency with Microsoft Office. You will maintain documentation, build supplier relationships, and prepare purchase orders.

Qualifications

• Minimum Bachelor Degree in Engineering or equivalent.
• Preferably 3+ years of working experience in the construction industry.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
• Work well under pressure and able to work independently.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Participate in sourcing, negotiation and monitoring delivery schedules.
• Establish good relationships with new and existing suppliers.
• To ensure that all purchasing documentation is completed and information is updated.
• Provides purchasing reports to the management.
• Source and evaluate suppliers based on price, quality, reliability, and delivery capability.
• Request and compare quotations from suppliers.
• Negotiate pricing, payment terms, lead times, and other commercial conditions.
• Prepare and issue Purchase Orders (POs) accurately and in a timely manner.
• Monitor outstanding orders and follow up with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery.
• Other adhoc duties as assigned.
