Job summary

FUCHI PTE. LTD. in Singapore is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support planning, coordination, and execution of civil construction projects on site. You will aid the Project Manager, review drawings, monitor safety, and ensure compliance with regulations and quality requirements.

Must have 3–5 years of civil/construction experience, read technical drawings, and proficient MS Office. LTA/public sector experience is a plus; join a fast-paced team delivering major infrastructure projects.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Building, Construction Management, Project Management, or related discipline.
• 3–5 years of experience in civil, foundation, ERSS, or construction projects.
• Experience with LTA or public sector infrastructure projects is an advantage.
• Able to read and interpret construction drawings and technical specifications.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and MS Project).
• Knowledge of project planning, construction methods, and site coordination.
• Understanding of construction safety requirements and WSH regulations.
• Strong communication, coordination, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Project Manager in managing construction projects from planning through completion.
• Coordinate daily site activities and monitor progress against schedules.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and internal departments for smooth execution.
• Review construction drawings, method statements, and project specifications.
• Support project planning, resource allocation, and manpower coordination.
• Monitor project costs, progress claims, and work schedules with the Quantity Surveying team.
• Coordinate with Logistics and Machinery to ensure timely equipment/material availability.
• Conduct site inspections to ensure quality, safety, and compliance with specifications.
• Identify project risks and assist in implementing corrective actions; prepare reports and minutes.
• Ensure permits and approvals are obtained before work commencement.
• Support Project Manager in achieving milestones and successful delivery.
