Job summary

HONG TAI CIVIL ENGINEERING PTE. LTD. in Singapore is seeking a capable site assistant to support daily project execution, coordinating with the Project Manager or Engineer to ensure works align with drawings and schedules.

You will supervise subcontractors and in-house workers, monitor progress and quality, and participate in toolbox talks and site meetings to uphold project scope and workmanship standards. Based in Singapore, valid Class 3 driving licence and strong communication are required.

Qualifications

• Secondary Certificate/NiTEC or equivalent.
• At least 2 years of working experience in construction.
• Good understanding of general construction methods and working drawings.
• Class 3 driving license.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Project Manager or Project Engineer in daily execution of work.
• Supervise the work of sub-contractors and in-house workers.
• Coordinate with site operations staff to meet project schedule.
• Ensure installation is carried out as per construction drawings.
• Monitor manpower to deliver materials timely.
• Oversee progress and quality of work performed by workers.
• Ensure works meet workmanship standards.
• Attend daily site coordination meetings with sub-contractors.
• Attend toolbox meetings and convey clear instructions.
• Understand and ensure compliance with project scope and requirements.
• Identify, rectify and hand over defects after completion.
