Job summary

Maples Group in Singapore is seeking a Conflicts Analyst to support onboarding of new legal business and prevent conflicts that could risk the firm. You will validate information, run database searches, and interpret results to identify potential conflicts, liaising with fee earners and escalating complex cases.

You bring strong research, analytical and organisational abilities, with discretion and a detail‑oriented mindset.

Qualifications

• Degree desirable but not essential
• Prior experience in legal services or professional services desirable
• Self-motivation, flexibility, adaptability and patience
• Keen interest in knowing the business and lateral/analytical thinking
• Excellent research and analytical skills
• Ability to use initiative with a 'can do' attitude
• Ability to manage and prioritise multiple tasks simultaneously
• Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, accuracy and able to work well under pressure
• Discretion essential to preserve confidential information
• Able to adapt to new processes and technology
• Strong interpersonal skills, able to liaise effectively with all levels of legal and support staff

Responsibilities

• Validating and vetting information for new work by liaising with fee earners to obtain more data
• Reviewing database searches ensuring accuracy and completeness
• Analyzing and interpreting complex search results to identify potential conflicts
• Liaising with fee earners to highlight conflicts across practice areas
• Escalating complex conflict situations to the Conflicts Manager
• Assisting in set‑up and maintenance of information barriers
• Developing knowledge of regulatory requirements relevant to Global Business Acceptance
• Contributing to staff education on conflicts processes and policies
• Handling adhoc requests/projects related to New Business Acceptance / Conflicts
