Shot Peening & Balancing Technician – Night Shift

Job summary

RTX, a Pratt & Whitney RTX business, is seeking a hands-on technician for its onsite operation in Singapore. You will set up and maintain shot peening, media finish and balancing machines, read SOPs, perform risk assessments and contribute to 6S lean activities daily.

Two years of relevant experience in precision manufacturing are required, along with willingness to work permanent night shifts and overtime as needed. The role supports cross-functional manufacturing processes and safety programs.

Qualifications

• NITEC in Precision, Aerospace, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• 2 years of relevant experience in Shot Peening/ Media Finish/ Balancing.
• 2 years of relevant experience in Manufacturing, Precision Engineering or Machining.
• Comfortable with hands-on work to operate with the tools and equipment.
• Ability to understand basic technical instructions and SOPs.
• Meticulous with an eye for details and a hands-on approach.
• Willing to work permanent Night Shift and overtime on need basis.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate and maintain shot peen, media finish, balancing machines.
• Perform simple troubleshooting of machines.
• Read and follow established procedures and work instructions.
• Perform risk assessment and take corrective actions as well as preventive measures.
• Maintain day to day 6S lean activities to create a safe work environment.
• Work cross functional to support the various manufacturing processes.
• Participate in the EH&S programs and take personal responsibility to ensure safety adherence.
• Support the continuous improvement programs, CORE (Customer Oriented Results & Excellence) activities and additional tasks assigned by the supervisor.
