Job summary

Pratt & Whitney in Singapore is seeking a skilled technician to operate and maintain shot peen, media finish and balancing machines, joining our manufacturing team. You will support cross-functional production processes and contribute to 6S lean and EH&S initiatives.

You will need a NITEC in Precision, Aerospace, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent with 2 years' hands-on experience, and be willing to work permanent night shifts and overtime as required.

Qualifications

• NITEC in Precision, Aerospace, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• 2 years of relevant experience in Shot Peening/ Media Finish/ Balancing.
• 2 years of relevant experience in Manufacturing, Precision Engineering or Machining.
• Comfortable with hands-on work to operate the tools and equipment.
• Ability to understand basic technical instructions and SOPs.
• Meticulous with an eye for details and adopts a hands-on approach.
• Willing to work permanent Night Shift and overtime on need basis.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate and maintain shot peen, media finish, balancing machines.
• Perform simple troubleshooting of machines.
• Read and follow established procedures and work instructions.
• Perform risk assessment and take corrective actions as well as preventive measures.
• Maintain day to day 6S lean activities to create a safe work environment.
• Work cross functional to support the various manufacturing processes.
• Participate in the EH&S programs and takes personal responsibility to ensure safety adherence.
• Support the continuous improvement programs, CORE activities and additional tasks assigned by the supervisor.
