Job summary

PETROCHINA INTERNATIONAL (SINGAPORE) PTE. LTD. is seeking an experienced LNG shipping operations professional to oversee vessel scheduling, bunker planning, voyage execution and regulatory compliance.

You will collaborate with LNG Charterers, trading and ops teams to optimize cargo and minimize demurrage. Applicants should have at least 3 years in LNG shipping, be proficient with Time Charter Party concepts, and possess strong analytical, negotiation and presentation skills.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Shipping, Maritime/Nautical studies or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years LNG shipping operations experience with oil majors or trading houses.
• Sea-going tanker experience is advantageous.
• Strong knowledge of Time Charter Party and multi-commodity shipping.
• Proficient with spreadsheets, databases and presentations.
• Excellent technical, analytical, negotiation and presentation skills; team player.

Job Overview

This role is responsible for overseeing and coordinating LNG vessel operations to ensure the safe, efficient, and cost-effective execution of maritime transportation activities. The incumbent will manage vessel scheduling, voyage execution, stakeholder coordination, bunker planning, charter party operations, claims management, and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Ensure efficient day-to-day operation and coordinationof vessels to minimize demurrage and optimise cargo flexibility
• Communicate with vessels, vessel owners/operators andshipping teams of trading counterparties and terminals.
• Co-ordinating bunkering plan and agency appointment.
• Strategise and schedule vessels jointly with LNGCharterer, Trading and Operations teams, and coordinate with internal teams tofacilitate trading and operations of vessels.
• Assess and elevate commercial impact of scheduledeviations or delays.
• Monitor vessel performance, prepare daily reports andhighlights, and calculate and manage claims.
• Optimize LNG loading and/or unloading and ensure allnecessary operational information is communicated effectively.
• Manage vessel vetting/nomination, send voyage orders,heel management and monitor all ship operational matters.
• Handling 3rd parties charter out operational matters
• Handle hire payments and account reconciliation with owners.
• Resolve any LNG shipping operations issues.
• Prepare month-end reports based on LNG team’s needs.
• Ensure ships adhere to international maritime regulations
• Any other ad-hoc responsibilities assigned from time to time.

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Shipping, Maritime Studies,Nautical Studies or equivalent.
• At least 3 years’ experience in LNG ShippingOperations experience with oil majors/ trading house.
• Any sea-going experience on tanker vessels is advantageous.
• Knowledge and understanding of multi-commodity shipping operations.
• Good knowledge in Time Charter Party.
• Proficient with spreadsheets, databases and presentations.
• Excellent technical, analytical, negotiation and presentation skills.
• Team player and able to work independently.
