Job summary

PetroChina Singapore is seeking an experienced LNG Shipping Operations professional to oversee vessel scheduling, voyage execution, and regulatory compliance. You will coordinate bunkering plans, charter party activity, and claims with internal teams and trading counterparts.

Jointly strategise schedules with LNG Charterer and Operations teams, monitor vessel performance, and prepare daily/ monthly reports.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Shipping, Maritime Studies, Nautical Studies or equivalent.
• At least 3 years LNG shipping operations experience with oil majors or trading houses.
• Sea-going experience on tanker vessels is advantageous.
• Knowledge of multi-commodity shipping operations.
• Proficient with Time Charter Party.
• Strong Excel and data handling skills.

Job Overview

This role is responsible for overseeing and coordinating LNG vessel operations to ensure the safe, efficient, and cost-effective execution of maritime transportation activities. The incumbent will manage vessel scheduling, voyage execution, stakeholder coordination, bunker planning, charter party operations, claims management, and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Ensure efficient day-to-day operation and coordinationof vessels to minimize demurrage and optimise cargo flexibility
• Communicate with vessels, vessel owners/operators andshipping teams of trading counterparties and terminals.
• Co-ordinating bunkering plan and agency appointment.
• Strategise and schedule vessels jointly with LNGCharterer, Trading and Operations teams, and coordinate with internal teams tofacilitate trading and operations of vessels.
• Assess and elevate commercial impact of scheduledeviations or delays.
• Monitor vessel performance, prepare daily reports andhighlights, and calculate and manage claims.
• Optimize LNG loading and/or unloading and ensure allnecessary operational information is communicated effectively.
• Manage vessel vetting/nomination, send voyage orders,heel management and monitor all ship operational matters.
• Handling 3rd parties charter out operational matters
• Handle hire payments and account reconciliation withowners.
• Resolve any LNG shipping operations issues.
• Prepare month-end reports based on LNG team’s needs.
• Ensure ships adhere to international maritimeregulations
• Any other ad-hoc responsibilities assigned from time to time.

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Shipping, Maritime Studies,Nautical Studies or equivalent.
• At least 3 years’ experience in LNG ShippingOperations experience with oil majors/ trading house.
• Any sea-going experience on tanker vessels isadvantageous.
• Knowledge and understanding of multi-commodityshipping operations.
• Good knowledge in Time Charter Party.
• Proficient with spreadsheets, databases andpresentations.
• Excellent technical, analytical, negotiation andpresentation skills.
• Team player and able to work independently.
