Job summary

A leading global specialty chemicals company is seeking a candidate for a role focused on implementation of occupational safety regulations and emergency response training. The ideal candidate should have a minimum O Level qualification and relevant experience in the Chemical or Petrochemical industry. Strong communication skills and the ability to work in a team are essential. This role involves working on Jurong Island with a 12-hour rotating shift. Company transport is provided.

Qualifications

• Relevant work experience in the Chemical / Petrochemical industry is advantageous.
• Willing to work in Jurong Island and perform 12 hours rotating shift.
• Hands on experience in fire fighting, fire men training and incident response is necessary.

Responsibilities

• Implement Singapore WSH and Evonik regulations related to Occupational safety.
• Lead training of the Site Emergency Response Team in drills and incidents.
• Inspect and maintain emergency response equipment and PPE.
• Inspection and maintenance of all emergency response equipment, PPE and apparatus.
• Support ESH relevant training

Responsibilities

• Implementation of the applicable Singapore WSH and Evonik regulations and compliance matters (HS) related to Occupational safety.
• Provide the lead in training of the Site
• Emergency Response Team (ERT) in emergency drills and lead the ERT during an incident.
• Inspection and maintenance of all emergency response equipment, PPE and apparatus.
• Support ESH relevant training

Requirements

• Minimum O Level qualification
• Relevant work experience in Chemical / Petrochemical industry is advantageous
• Hands on experience in fire fighting, fire men training and incident response is necessary
• Team working and decision making abilities
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Willing to work in Jurong Island and perform 12 hours rotating shift (Company transport provided)
