Job summary

MICRON SEMICONDUCTOR ASIA OPERATIONS PTE LTD is seeking a Shift Process Technician for Fab10 to advance semiconductor manufacturing. You will work in a collaborative team to drive continuous improvement and implement AI-enabled tools for efficiency, quality, and yield.

The role emphasizes SPC and defect analysis, handling wafer processing equipment, and ensuring weekly output through proactive issue resolution and disciplined SOP adherence.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Electronics or Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Understanding of SPC applications in wafer fabrication.
• Experience with wafer processing machinery and procedures.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and data collection skills.
• Ability to work 12-hour shifts.
• Strong teamwork and multitasking abilities.
• Solid knowledge of SPC, SWR, QDR, MES, Yield3, and Klarity.
• Ability to apply AI literacy in daily tasks.

Responsibilities

• Perform standard work focusing on day-to-day issue management.
• Complete scheduled PM or CM tool recovery to meet weekly output.
• Monitor and address out-of-control events per SPC/FDC rules following SOP.
• Process special work requests accurately and promptly.
• Perform alarm wafer disposition and tool dispositions per FRM standards.
• Ensure all hold lots are attended to and disposed of with quality.
• Supervise inline/probe indices for deviations and initiate investigations.
• Keep Lead Engineer informed of process issues and down statuses.
• Take initiative with added responsibilities, e.g., OSC, and propose yield improvements.
• Integrate AI-assisted tools into daily work to boost efficiency and quality.
• Identify, test, and share AI-enabled improvements within scope.

Job responsibilities

• Perform standard work with a focus on tactical management of day-to-day issues.
• Complete scheduled PM or CM tool recovery qualifications to ensure weekly output is met efficiently.
• Monitor, analyze, and address out-of-control events for established SPC/FDC rules related to both process and defect issues, following SOP/ERM guidelines.
• Ensure special work requests are processed accurately and promptly.
• Perform alarm wafer disposition and wafer processing tool dispositions according to FRM standards.
• Ensure all hold lots are attended to and disposed of with the utmost quality.
• Supervise crucial inline/probe indices for deviations and promptly initiate first-level investigations.
• Keep the Lead Engineer advised of all process-related issues and long-term down statuses.
• Take initiative by assuming added responsibilities, such as OSC, and propose continuous improvement projects to drive wafer yield.
• Integrate AI-assisted tools and insights into daily work to improve efficiency, quality, or effectiveness, exercising good judgment and aligning with organizational standards and legal requirements.
• Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement by identifying, testing, and sharing AI-enabled improvements within your scope of work.

Job REQUIREMENTS

• Diploma in Electronic or Electrical Engineer or equivalent experience.
• Understanding of SPC and its applications in the area, along with familiarity with semiconductor equipment and processes.
• Experience working with wafer processing machinery and procedures.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, PC skills, and data collection skills.
• Able to do 12 hours shift work.
• Strong team-working and multi-tasking capabilities, with a self-motivated attitude.
• Team-oriented with a strong focus on effective team dynamics.
• Excellent multi-tasking and problem-solving skills.
• Solid knowledge of SPC, SWR, QDR, MES, Yield3, and Klarity.
