Job summary

Frencken Mechatronics in Singapore is seeking a manufacturing engineer to bridge design and production, ensuring new products are manufacturable and cost-effective. You will develop detailed process flows and validate parameters to meet quality standards.

This role offers collaboration with cross-functional teams in a high-tech environment. You will coordinate with suppliers, maintain documentation, support pilot builds, and drive root-cause analysis to improve cost and cycle time.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate 3D models and engineering drawings for manufacturability.
• Develop detailed manufacturing process flows for new product (e.g., cutting, bending, welding etc).
• Validate process parameters and control plans.
• Run First Article Inspections (FAIs) and Process Capability (CP/CPK) studies.
• Design or specify jigs, fixtures, and tooling required for forming, welding, or assembly.
• Coordinate with suppliers for outsourced fixture fabrication.
• Develop & maintain work instructions, Product BOM & Routing, internal redline drawing, welding documents.
• Ensure all documentation complies with quality standards and traceability requirements.
• Identify potential risks in the introduction of new products and implement mitigation plans.
• Support pilot builds, identify issues, and drive root cause analysis for any quality or process failures.
• Coordinate prototype fabrication and ensure feedback is captured.
• Suggest improvements to reduce complexity, cost, or cycle time.
