Job summary

Mediacorp Pte Ltd is seeking a set designer to translate Producer requirements into visual concepts and detailed construction drawings. You will design with AutoCAD and 3D software to deliver compelling visuals, with senior guidance.

You will manage projects from pre-production through production and strike, brief contractors, coordinate with suppliers, and lead the set design team on site. Proficiency in English and Mandarin is required.

Qualifications

Diploma in Space & Interior Design, Environment & Architecture Design, Industrial Design or Fine Art.
1–2 years of experience in set design for drama/entertainment productions is an advantage.
Proficient in English and Mandarin for business communication.
Knowledge of AutoCAD is essential; knowledge of 3D modelling software preferred (Cinema 4D or 3D Studio Max).
Good communication skills.

Responsibilities

Understand requirements from the Producer and assist in generating visual concepts, layout plans, construction drawings, elevations, details and perspectives.
Design using AutoCAD and 3D modelling software (Cinema 4D or 3D Studio Max) to deliver aesthetically pleasing design with guidance from seniors.
Manage the set projects from pre-production to production and strike.
Brief staging contractors and vendors on set-up with construction drawings and floor plans.
Coordinate all production requirements with suppliers and sponsors.
Direct the set design team, staging contractors and vendors on setting work.
